Introduction

Within the last few years, the technologies in the field of clinical oncology are developing rapidly and we have seen an explosion in knowledge of the biologic drivers of cancer.

Most of the tumors are now sub-classified by a molecular profile, with different treatment options and strategies for patients based on their tumor biomarker status. For example, some tumors can be treated with highly sophisticated precision external beam radiation therapy such as proton beam therapy.

Since the advent of the Internet, oncologist no longer require access to the latest hard copy of their favorite journal to keep in touch with the most recent developments. Indeed, it is no longer necessary to leave the lab and spend all day in the library stacks – much of the information about their research interests is available on their own personal computers.

To provide accurate, reliable and up-to-date research articles combined with in-depth expert analysis about the issues that oncologists and hematologists/oncologists care about most, we are launching a new journal titled “Journal of Clinical Oncology and Therapeutics” which focuses on the clinical aspects of oncology while also covering the diagnosis and therapy, including radiotherapy, and systemic treatment.

The journal chiefly devoted to Original Research papers, also includes Reviews as well as Case Reports, Clinical Findings or novel/unique treatment outcomes, Editorials and Short Communications on current topics in oncogenesis, hematologic malignancies, molecular oncology, endometrial cancer, chemotherapy, osteonecrosis, immunotherapy, morphea after radiotherapy, solid tumor, radiation oncology, radiotherapy, surgical oncology and palliative care.

Its readership comprises practicing clinical oncologists, researchers, students, individuals in training, and allied health professionals throughout the world. All the papers published are freely available to the readers with no financial barriers to access on the web seems great and is keen on assisting the researchers to publish their findings.

As an editor, I look after some crucial roles and responsibilities for the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Therapeutics

The journal editorial board members will handle the peer-review process of submitted manuscripts and will be able to provide the final decision on the manuscript as per the reviewer comments. As an editor, I respond to journal ethical aspects and misconduct raised while publication. I also make sure the confidentiality of work received by every author as the review process is unbiased and spotlights on the quality review process to maintain the consistent level.

The journal follows publication ethics and principle of international diversity – editorial board, reviewers and authors. Therefore, we invite and welcome submissions from around the region and world. We are committed to a speedy and rational refereeing process for every article submitted to the journal. We endeavor to reply to all authors within five weeks’ time from date of first submission with an answer about article acceptance or rejection.
