Introducation

Based on these fundamentals, the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Therapeutics is an international open access journal publishing articles transforming the landscape of cancer and derived from basic and clinical experimentation. The published scientific articles will explore the growing role of innovative targeted therapies, personalized medicine, multicentric clinical trials, the fundamental mechanisms of molecular biology and the relevant body of existing and developing literature on this topic in clinical oncology.

Journal of Clinical Oncology and Therapeuticswill highlight (but not limited to) the following research topics in basic-translational-clinical trial research:

  • Oncogenesis
  • Medical oncology
  • Solid tumor
  • Radiation oncology
  • Radiotherapy
  • Surgical oncology
  • Tageted therapies

The authors will report recent discoveries from this area of research and describe how they can not only support high-quality ethics, high-value patient care but also enhance recruitment and follow-up to clinical oncology studies all are challenging to achieve in today’s relatively resource-strapped environment.

Roles

An editor in oncology field is a critical reader and foremost a lover of scientific discoveries that are concrete and beneficial for patients. I am very proud to have been appointed to fulfill this task and I will start with this quote:

"To be a really good editor, you have to be a really good listener. I don't only mean to the author. You have to listen to what you're reading." Ellen Seligman, Publisher, McClelland and Stewart.

Professional Roles

As Clinical Researcher & Coordinator at the Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center (CIEC, Department of Population Health, Luxembourg Institute of Health), I am responsible for full early development and coordination of clinical research projects in Europe, mainly in Luxembourg and Belgium. I also provides advice in the fields of regulatory, ethics and logistics to European investigators. Strong of my PhD in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and my background in clinical trial research, I will specifically commit to follow the translational approach of research. I will also strive to uphold an ethical rigor, respect for good clinical practice and data protection.

My key role is also to promote open access scholarship, whilst also promoting the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Therapeuticsas the best journal to publish in. I will encourage new and established authors to submit up-to-date clinical research and set up a reliable panel of double-blinded expert reviewers. I will also responsible for giving feedback to reviewers when required and ensure that any comments to authors is constructive.
