Abstract

We report the case of a 74-year-old man afflicted with endstage renal disease, currently in chronic replacement therapy, taking warfarin on a regular basis, who presented feelings of weakness and acute right flank pain during a dialysis session. He was sent to the Emergency Department where an abdominal computed tomography with intravenous contrast administration revealed the presence of a wide hematoma developing in the right kidney, with continuous extension to perirenal fat tissue, Gerota’s fascia and posterior pararenal space.
