Abstract

Effective analgesia after open septorhinoplasty is still a constant concern. However, the information about appropriate pain management after the surgery is not sufficient yet. Therefore, this single blind randomized controlled trial was planned to determine whether the analgesic efficacy of a single dose of intravenous paracetamol differs from a single dose of rectal indomethacin in patients undergoing open septorhinoplasty.

Pain and discomfort in the immediate postoperative period after septorhinoplasty has been reported as an undesirable experience and patients stated dissatisfaction with pain therapy regimens. Although effective analgesia after septorhinoplasty is still a constant concern, the information about optimal postoperative pain management is not sufficient yet
