Abstract

The aim of the study was to assess the prevalence and correlates of hypertension among class IV (Blue-collar) workers in a medical college of New Delhi. A cross-sectional study, enrolling all the class IV workers of the institute was conducted. Each subject was interviewed for socio-demographic and risk factors like smoking, alcohol intake, salt consumption, family history etc. This was followed by examination for blood pressure and anthropometry.
