Abstract

To evaluate endothelial function, insulin resistance, serum adiponectin level in rheumatoid arthritis females with renal dysfunction and its dynamics with the L-Arginine aspartate supplementation. 69 females with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and renal dysfunction were enrolled. Patients were divided into group received L-Arginine aspartate and placebo group. Serum insulin, adiponectin were measured at the baseline and after 4 weeks. The level of insulin resistance, GFR was calculated. Determination of flow mediated vasodilation was performed at the baseline and after 4 weeks.
